Lee Svete is the Director of the Career Center at the University of Notre Dame, assuming the position in July of 1999. Since this time, Lee has received a number of awards including: Sam Walton Fellowship for Students in Free Enterprise, The IRISH Clover Award for Student Services, General Electric's Top Recruiting Program Award and the Arts & Letters Staff Appreciation Award. Most recently, The Career Center at Notre Dame was ranked #2 nationally by the Princeton Review for providing innovative career services to students.
Lee is a member of the NACE Global Initiatives Committee and Chairperson of the subcommittee for the NACE International Student Virtual Career Fair.  Since February of 2008, the NISVCF has attracted 56 global employers who posted 340 jobs with 14,900 students registered on-line.  Lee is also the current Chairman of the Big East Conference Career Consortium, one of the largest career related groups in the world of Higher Education.
Before coming to Notre Dame, Lee Directed the Career Services Office at Colgate University in Hamilton, NY from 1995-1999, and previously directed the Office of Career Planning at St. Lawrence University, Canton, NY from 1989-1995. Prior to SLU, Lee was the Associate Director of Career Development at Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY from 1985-1989. Lee holds a Masters Degree in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University, and a BA in History from the College of Wooster. Lee resides in Granger, IN with his wife Jill and two children, Lily (17) and Leo (14).
